The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
